Death
George Elmer Furr, 5415 Chronicle Ave, died Oct. 26, at the age of 49. He was a member of the Carpenters’ Union 1162, Hayward. He was a native of Oklahoma and resident of Hayward for the past four years, formerly of Delana, Calif, and a resident of California for the past 26 years. He was the husband of Nina Furr, father of Mrs. Edith E. Rasgdale, Leonard Marlon, and Clinton Cecil Furr, A.T.S. in New Guinea, George Elmer Furr Jr., U. S. A. in France, and Deanna Lee Furr. Also he was grandfather of Anthony David Furr, Linda Lee and Linda Sue Ragsdale; son of Thomas M. Furr: brother of Mrs. Alta Billingsley, Mrs. Abbie Savage, Mrs. Ruby Sullivan, Ray and Melvin, Otis and Homer Furr, and a half-brother of Allan and Wilburn Furr; brother of the late John Furr. Funeral services will be held from the Garden Chapel of the Pratt-Flierl Mortuary, Saturday; Oct. 28, at 2 p. m. Closing services will be held from Evergreen Cemetery.Daily Review, Hayward, California, October 27, 1944
