Death

Graveside services for Leonard M. Furr, 87, of Jonesboro, who died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at his residence have been scheduled for 3:30 p.m. today at Kellers Chapel Cemetery. Wynndell King will officiate. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Born in Oklahoma, he had lived in Jonesboro for 22 years and was a retired marine engineer. He had worked for Herman Estates in Houston, Texas, as a maintenance supervisor and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Florine French Furr of the home; a brother, Cecil Furr of Byron, Calif.; and a sister, Deanna Pittman of Madera, Calif. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
