Death
PICAYUNE, Miss., Nov. 26 -- Judge James H. Furr, 78 years, father of Editor J. R. Furr of Picayune, died at the home of his son, William F. Furr, at 12:30 o'clock today. Judge Furr was serving his thirty-sixth year as a justice of the peace of beat four of Pearl River County, was active in his office duties until three months ago. Funeral services will be conducted at Palestine Cemetery, three miles west of Picayune, tomorrow morning. Judge Furr is survived by three daughters and seven sons: Mrs. Nathaniel White, Brookhaven, Miss.; Mrs. Lula C. Furr, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Ellis Mitchell, Poplarville, Miss.; the Rev. A. C. Furr, Ethel, Miss.; J. R. Furr, William F. Furr, Floyd Furr, Clifton Furr,Ernest Furr, all of Picayune; James Furr, Gulfport, Miss., and one stepson, R. T. Buckley, Picayune.Endnotes
