Death
BROOKHAVEN — Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Furr White, 81, were held at the Holly Springs Baptist Church of which she was a charter member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. White was a lifelong resident of Lincoln county. She died at her home after a long illness. Mrs. White was the daughter of the late James H. Furr and Clara Lila May Furr. She was married to Nathaniel White, who died some years ago. Survivors are six sons, Hollis, Metter, Willie, Jesse, Arthur White all of Brookhaven, and James W. White, of Waco, Texas; three daughters Misses Clara and Mary White, and Mrs. Fred Baker, Sr., all of Brookhaven; four brothers, Rev. A. C. Furr, Columbus, Clifton, James and Ernest Furr, all of Picayune; one sister, Mrs. Lulu Kennedy, of Los Angeles.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, November 19, 1963
