Notes
Death
On the 31st of March, 1906, all that was mortal of Mrs. Sarah Furr passed away. Mrs. Furr was one of the oldest citizens in this community, having been born July 27th, 1827. She was married in 1845 and was the mother of six children, four of whom survive her. She was an almost life long member of Bahala Baptist church, having joined there while still a young girl. “Aunt Sallie,” as she was familiarly known to all in the neighborhood, will be greatly missed. She was perfectly conscious to the last and called the different members of the family to her bed side and told them good bye. Truly hers has been a well spent life and now having fulfilled her mission here, she has gone to her eternal home, to be with the Master she so faithfully served, and to await the coming of those she loved. The Semi-Weekly Leader, Brookhaven, Mississippi, April 18, 1906
