Hayes Jr., at Ann Arbor, Mich. He was a member of the Berea Union church and of the local Masonic lodge. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Florence Mitchell Hayes; sons, William Albert Hayes, Hindman; Elbradge Hayes, Miami, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. R. R. Coyle, Mrs. Ellen Mitchell, Mrs. C. G. Baker, Berea; Mrs. I. N. Odell, Rochester, N.Y.; Mrs. C. M. Fulkerson, Ukiah, Calif.; brother, Herbert H. Hayes, Berea. The body is scheduled to arrive at the Britton funeral home here Tuesday night. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. [The spelling is usually without an e in Hays].
