According to Robins' pension papers, Harriet lived at Berenda, Madera Co., CA, on 16 Dec 1892 and on 8 Dec 1894. On the latter date she wrote an affidavit for Elizabeth's pension application that she was 51, her place of residence, that she was present at the death of Robins McCoy, and where he died.
According to the Modesto Citizens Cemetery, there is also a Harriet A. McConnell buried there in the same plot as Mary Chester McConnell. Harriet does not have a gravestone. Author notes that the plot is large and probably ten people could be buried there, but there is only one stone, with three inscriptions, on the entire lot. Is this another daughter who was given same name as Harriet? The cemetery record has no birth or death dates for the Harriet McConnell buried here. Cemetery records posted atftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ca/stanislaus/cemeteries/citizens-wz.txt, Stanislaus County USGENWEB, indicates Harriett A. Ward, died/buried May 6, 1896, no location of grave plot given. Notes indicate "location of death not listed , 52 y, from B. P." That would match the 1844 birth year already in file.
