In 1850 census, he is 1 yr older than Harriet and her date of birth was pretty consistent in various census.
1871 Great Register of Humboldt Co., CA, printed copy on LDS Film#976464, states that Mordecai was age 24 (1843), born U.S., occupation stock raiser. Residence Yager Creek, Registered 29 Jun 1867. He was there with the same information 4 Aug 1871, 1 Oct 1872, 6 Aug 1875, 20 Aug 1879 and 4 Oct 1880.

Death record, Humboldt Co., CA, gives date and cause and said he was buried Hydesville, I.O.O.F., aged 46 yr 4 mo 11 days. (Abt. 20 Feb 1845). He was a stockman and was single.
