Tax $7.09. Also, at Bradley, the West half of southwest quarter of S14 T23S R11E and West half of northwest quarter of S23 T23S R11E, 160 acres. Value $700, improvements $150, tax$14.88.

Book 49 page 247, Monterey Co., CA. Deed dated 13 May 1896 from F. C. Karvos and Emma O. Jarvis, wife, both of Newark, Alameda Co., CA, to A.J. Fallman and Ida J. Fallman his wife, of Bradley, Monterey County, for $10.00, the following: The west half of S17 T23 S R11E, MDB&M, containing 320 acres, with all improvements thereon.
Extract from "Stereoptican" published July 13, 1879, in California Central Coast Genealogical Society Vol 14 #3, Fall 1981, at Denver Public Library: "Born at San Luis Obispo June 28th wife of David Russell, a Daughter." This doesn't support either the 1880 census or information from Gladys Luck, great-grand-daughter of Ida McCoy Russell Fallman. The child born in 1879 according to the census was a boy. Possibly the name Francis was interpreted by whoever reported to the paper as a girl's name. It is also possible that this was a completely different David Russell.
