Lizzie's obituary in the Porterville Recorder 03 Jan 1945, said she was 64, resident there for 36 years, passed away New Year's morning at her home, 1613 N. Main St., after a long illness. She was a native of Ohio. She was survived by husband, G. W. Landers; four sons, Cliff and Archie of Porterville; Chester of Venice and CM 1/c Harold Landers of the Seabees; 3 daughters, Mrs. Gladys Conour, Porterville, Mrs. Mildred Gifford, Fullerton, and Mrs. Lillie Carter, Taft; 2 brothers, Frank Fidler, Dillon, MT and Sam Fidler, Fairplay, MO; 2 sisters, Mrs. Birt Brown and Mrs. Minnie Williams, both of Visalia. She also left 11 grandchildren. Funeral services on 04 Jan at the Loyd-Brittell chapel,with Rev. George Branch of the Assembly of God officiating. Copy of obituary in the possession of the author.
