According to Jerry Landers, Hal was in the hospital for 12 or 13 days before he died. Hal had much difficulty breathing for the last several years.
Obituary in The Fresno Bee said:
"Landers, Harold Lewis - Graveside services for Harold Lewis Landers,80, of Fresno will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fresno Memorial Gardens. Mr. Landers, a surveyor for Fresno County for 20 years, died Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Lisle Funeral Home."
