Triplet
Picture and article in the Journal-Press, October 26, 1903
Mr.and Mrs. Adam Yaeger of the town of St Joseph, six miles from St Cloud on the Pleasant lake road, have the unusual distinction of being the parents of triplets, all living and healthy. The trio consists of two girls and a boy, and were born some five months ago, the photograph from which the above cut was reproduced being taken when the babies were four months old. Their names are, beginning at the left: Ella Eva Luratia Yaeger, Elmer Michael Theato Yaeger and Ethel Emma Josephine Yaeger. The parents were blessed with a large family of children previous to the advent of the triplets, among the number being twins. Mr. Yaeger is one of the most prosperous farmers of Stearns county, well known throughout this section, and the picture of the triplets, published for the first time by the Journal-Press will naturally attract much attention.

Recitation:
Recited by Ethel Yaeger at a country school house Christmas Program in 1910 at St Joseph Township, Stearns County, MN. She remembered this all her life and often told it to her grandchildren. It brought the house down in laughter.
IT'S HARD TO BE A FARMER
I GUESS I OUGHT TO KNOW
I TRIED TO RAISE SOME CHICKENS
AND THE MISERABLE THINGS WOULDN'T GROW
THE FOLKS AT HOME THEY LAUGHED AND LAUGHED
BUT SO YOU THINK IT'S SUCH FUN
TO PLANT A HANDFUL OF FEATHERS AND
NOT A CHICKEN, NOT A ONE!
