Individual Details

Mary "Polly" Pippin

(Abt 1823 - )

In 1850, Polly Pippin was counted on the Jackson TN census as age 27, head of household. Also living there were Jane Pippin, age 19, and John Pippin, age 1. Then in 1860, living next door to Kinchen Pippin was the family of William Johnson, age 22. His household included Polly, age 36, John age 8, and Woodfork, age 1. This could be the same lady.

Polly & Jane were placed in the household of Redmond Pippin & Sallie Stafford in the first Pippin book; this is now believed to be inconsistent with earlier censuses and they have been identified as daughters of Kinchen and his 1st wife.
