John Redmond Pippin

John married Parasetta "Zettie" Haney, daughter of Isaac & Sally Haney. She was born Apr 1848 in Jackson Co TN. Her brother Henry married Margaret P. Pippin. John & Parasetta had 10 children, one apparently died in infancy.

One of the sons of John & Parazetta was George Pippin, born 7 Aug 1872 and died 29 Oct 1950 of cerebro-vascular accident [stroke]. George was married at the time of his death - wife's name not given but the informant was Mrs. Eva Pippin of the same address, Rt. 4, Cookeville. He was buried Young Cemetery.

Another son was Tom, born 9 Feb 1867, died 28 May 1944 of hypertension & myocardia insufficiency. He was married to Bettie Whitson Pippin and she was still living, age 77. Father is listed as John Red Pippin, mother as Peizetia Hamey. He was buried in the Pippin Graveyard in Putnam Co.
Thomas' wife Betty was the daughter of Reuben Whitson and Margaret Dyer. She was born 18 Aug 1866 and died 31 Oct 1952 at age 86. She had lived all her life in Cookeville, Putnam Co. She died of heart disease and was buried Pippin Cemetery.
