Arthur Wayne Wishard, 89, of Honey Grove passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Dubuis Hospital. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Oakridge Church of Christ in the Oakridge Community with Bro. Joe Wishard officiating. Interment follows in Oakridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Oakridge Church of Christ.
He was born March 13, 1915, in Fannin County, the son of Arthur and Hazy Agnes Hulsey Wishard.
He married Cora Sue Woods on Sept. 30, 1934, in Windom. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2003. He was a farmer and a member of Oakridge Church of Christ.
Along with his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Arthur Reed Wishard; and a granddaughter, Gena Wishard.
He is survived by his sons, Bill Wishard and wife, Helen, of North Richland Hills, Larry Wishard and wife, Sheila, of Centennial Colo.; a daughter, Hazanne Luttrell and husband, Bill, of Abilene; along with seven grandsons are three granddaughters, Amy Goggins, Suzanne Barrow and Shannon Luttrell; 20 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Gene Wishard of Greenville; sister, Johnnie Fink of Ladonia; sister-in-law, Doodie Phillips of Southlake.
Pallbearers are seven grandsons, Lynn Luttrell, Mike Luttrell, Keith Luttrell, Kevin Wishard, Kris Wishard, Alan Wishard and Jeff Wishard. Robert Wayne Milton will also serve as a pallbearer.
