Probably this Nicholas:
22 Sep 1739. Nicholas Perkins, 250 acres Goochland Co on both sides of Meadowy Branch of Beaverdam Cr, North side James River, adj Contant Perkins, Timothy Rich dec'd, William Walker & Edward Curd. PB 18, p.433
In 1741, Nicholas was a processioner in Goochland Co. He is said to have served as a Colonel during the French & Indian Wars. About 1755 the family moved to Halifax Co on the Dan River.

Directed that lands on Cascade Creek to be sold as well as 700 acres in North Carolina lying on Linville Creek.
Loving wife Bethunia to be sole executor.
