Scotch Ridge was actually a community just outside Martins Ferry, Belmont Co, Ohio - a ridge that reminded those that lived there of their native Scotland. The community was centered around the Presbyterian Church and cemetery.
In 1870, the family was still in Ohio, but were in Kansas City for the 1880 census; it lists Paul with his parents, age 14, born in Ohio [born ca 1866]

Death Certificate in Fayetteville, Washington Co, AR, says he had lived in the community for 20 years - so they moved to Fayetteville approximately 1926. They had lived in Ft. Smith, AR; also Monroe, Ouachita Parish, LA, and back to Ft. Smith again. Paul had lost a leg and was no longer able to work at his plumbing profession when they bought the farm outside of Fayetteville. I found an old letter dated 22 Oct 1912, which named his business as Koller-McKim Plumbing Company.
