Individual Details
ROBERT WILLIAMS
(7 May 1770 - 7 May 1846)
The family is said to have moved about 1806 from North Carolina to South Carolina and then on to Tennessee. Robert's wife is said to have died near Memphis. They moved on to Missouri circa 1838. Said to have died on his 76th birthday, but the year doesn't agree.
Cemetery Lookup in Cedar Co reveals that Robert Williams is buried Hackleman Cemetery in Cedar Co. Died 1846, age 56 - which does not agree with the following. I expect he was 76 instead.

In 1806, Robert's family moved from North Carolina to South Carolina, then on to Tennessee. His wife Charlotte died in Shelby Co TN, near Memphis, on 14 Nov 1828. He then moved on to Missouri in 1838 and lived with various children. He died on his 76th birthday.
Among those who had entered land by 1839 in the territory surrounding Stockton were: Matthis William, Robert Williams, John G. Williams. [Charles A. Haden is also listed but since he speculated in land in Greene Co I suspect this was strictly a business transaction.]
