30 Oct 1801 Thos. Watkins & John S. Vaughan did examine Hannah Thomas and receive her relinquished dower. Rec. 20 Jun 1803.

Pittsylvania Co Wills, Volume 11, p.257. Last Will & Testament of Jacob Thomas. To wife Hannah Thomas slaves, Rachel, Thomas, Miller, Moses for natural life or widowhood. At her death or remarriage, the Negroes and their increase to be equally divided between my two sons Maddison & Jacob. If my two sons should die without heirs, then the sd Negroes and increase to return to the Thomas Family to the two sons of Nathaniel Thomas - William and Nathl. P. Thomas.
