William Clark

Married (1) Judith Woodson Cheadle. and (2) Elizabeth Allen.

Children of William and Judith were born in Albemarle Co VA: Jacob, 20 Oct 1782, no issue. Lucy 6 Jun 1784, died in infancy. Maj James Clark 29 Dec 1785. Dr. Micajah Clark, 28 Jan 1788.

William was a soldier in the Revolution and was in the last raid of Col. Tarleton through Albemarle Co. A pair of pistols were preserved in the family for many years as a trophy. His older brother John and another brother were in the Battle of King's Mountain. He served the County of Albemarle in the VA Legislature and died 27 Oct 1800.

Son Micajah died in Richmond VA on 19 Aug 1849 and one of the most distinguished physicians of his day. He graduated with honor from the medical school at the Univ of PA. He was a surgeon during the War of 1812. After his death the family received two land warrants for 160 acres each for his service. Dr. Micajah married Caroline Virginia Harris.
