Chester, Sept. 26---(Special)---Addison Buford Carter, 54, widely known farmer of the Baton Rouge section of western Chester County, died at 5 o'clock this morning at his home, following a stroke of paralysis suffered Tuesday afternoon while at work on his farm. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon from Calvary Baptist church, western Chester county with the Rev. Furman O. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Carter was a son of the late James Carter and the late Mrs. Minnie Pendergrass Carter. He was a member of the Calvary church. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Clyde Taylor; two sons, Curtis and Ernest Carter of Chester; nine daughters, Mrs. ruby Dixon, Mrs. Anna Belle Mull and Miss Mary Edith Carter of Chester, Miss Lula Carter of Spartanburg, Mrs. Evelyn Gibson of Charlotte and Misses Betty Jean, Eleanor, Roberta and Diana Carter of the Baton Rouge community; two sisters, Mr. Sumter Minter of Chester and Mrs. Howe Gregory of Leeds; four brothers Roy Carter of Edgemoor, David Lee Carter of Chester, John Joe Carter of Leeds and Butler Carter of Union, and several grandchildren.
