August Posthuma, 74, died Sunday, Aug. 14, at his rural Randolph home.
He was born March 25, 1903 in the Netherlands, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Posthuma. He married Jessie Dykstra on Sept. 25, 1924 at Friesland. He lived in the Randolph area most of his life.
Survivors include his widow; a son Henry, Beaver Dam; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret White, Jr., Fox Lake, Mrs. Winnetta Braaksma, Randolph, and Mrs. Evelyn Lively, Glenview, Ill; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Eli, Randolph; and a sister, Mrs. Jenny Kikkert, Beaver Dam.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Juliette; his parents, and four brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Reformed Church, Randolph, with Gene Poll officiating. Burial was in the Randolph Cemetery.
