RANDOLPH - Jessie Posthuma, 88, 103 E. Maple Ave., Beaver Dam, died Friday, April 10, 1992, at her home.
Mrs. Posthuma was born Jan. 25, 1904, in Fox Lake, the daughter of Henry and Winnie (Syens) Dykstra. She married August Posthuma on Sept. 25, 1924, in Friesland, Wis. He was a lifelong resident of the Randolph area and was a member of the First Reformed Church, Randolph.
Survivors include one son, Hnery (Leona) Posthuma, Beaver Dam; three daughters, Margaret (Henry) White, Jr., Fox Lake, Winnetta Braaksma, Randolph, Evelyn (Jerry) Lively, Madison; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lambert (Joise) Dykstra and Rink (Minnie) Dykstra, Randolph; three sisters, Clara Elgersma and Bernice (William) Minnema, Randolph, and Joise Soodsma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was precede in death by her parents, her husband in 1977, one daughter, Juliette, one grandson, James Tamminga, two brother-in-law, John Elgersma and Harold Soodsma, two son-in-laws, Norris Tamminga and Walter Braaksma.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the First Reformed Church, Randolph, with the Rev. Calvin J. Vande Zande officiating. Burial was in the Randolph Cemetery, Randolph. Vistiation was held on Tuesday from noon until the time of service at the church.
The Medema-Gove Community Funeral Home, Randolph, is serving the family.
