George E. Posthuma

RANDOLPH-George Posthuma, a well-known stock buyer and fieldman for an area canning factory, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital, Beaver Dam, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb 15, 2:00 p.m. at the Frieden Evangelical Lutheran Church, Randolph with Rev. Albert Winter, officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph cemetery.
The late Mr. Posthuma was born on July 6, 1906 in the Township of Scott, Columbia County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Posthuma. He was married to the former Marie Seeman on Nov 27, 1935.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Callies, Beaver Dam; two grandchildren; three brothers, John, August, and Eli, all of Randolph; one sister, Mrs. John (Jennie) Kikkert, RFD, Beaver Dam. Preceding in death were his parents and two brothers, Henry and Sjouke.
Friends may call at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Randolph, after 3:00 p.m. Friday, and after 12 noon on Saturday at the church until the hour of services at 2 p.m.
