October 15, 2002 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spring Hill, for Martha C. Nathe, 89, who died at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 - 10 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Women and 3rd Order of St. Francis will pray at 7:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
Martha Nathe was born on June 12, 1913, in Spring Hill, Minnesota to John and Margaret (Winter) Schoen-born. She married Casper Nathe on October 17, 1933, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spring Hill. They lived in New Munich from 1933-35. Martha was a hairdresser for 35 years both in New Munich and St. Cloud. She also sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry for 17 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Cloud, 3rd Order of St. Francis and a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spring Hill and Christian Women of Spring Hill.
Survivors include her children, Howard Nathe (Renee) of Grey Eagle and Rueben Nathe (Caroline) of Litchfield; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and special nephews, David and Kenneth Schoenborn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Mike, Bill, Louis, Leo, Joe and Harry Schoenborn, Margaret Nathe, Rose Vaughan and Alma Hinnenkamp.
