Spring Hill--The funeral of John A Schoenborn, 85, who died in St Cloud on March 29, was held April 2 at 9:30am at the St Michael Catholic Church at Spring Hill. Rev Henry Retzek was celebrant at the solemn high mass, assisted by Rev John B Funk, Greenwald and Rev Joseph, Meier Grove. Burial was in the family lot in the Spring Hill cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Ben Wolbeck, Leonard Kirchner, Walter Winter, An drew Bertram, Arnold Bertram and Joseph Schoenberg Sr., Simon Knoblach, Joseph Winter, Art Fuchs, Ed Emmel, Othmar Winter and Ervin Winter served as the active pallbearers and DeRoy Schoenborn, a grandson of the deceased, was the crossbearer. The funeral was attended by a large number of relatives and friends.
Mr Schoenborn was born at Richmond on December 27 1865. He was united in marriage to Margaret Winter, who preceded him in death in 1933.
Nine children survive: Mrs Joseph Nathe (Margaret), Milwaukee, Wis; Michael, Minneapolis; Mrs Rose Vaughan, St Cloud; William, Hebron ND; Mrs Peter Loeken (Alma), St Martin; Henry and Louis, Spring Hill; Joseph, who address is unknown; and Mrs Casper Nathe (Martha), New Munich.
He leaves one sister, Mrs Joseph Winter, Greenwald, and a brother, Peter Schoenborn, New Munich, one half brother, John Emmel, St Cloud, and one half sister, Mrs Fred Winter, Sauk Centre, also survive.
