Thursa Belle McCarter

(18 Feb 1893 - 26 Apr 1977)

Excerpt from a 1987 letter from Connie Robbins McCarter.

Aunt Belle was a nurse most of her working life and a fine woman. I can remember a family gathering where one of my children as a tiny baby cried and cried. At last everyone said, "Give her to Aunt Belle." I did and I never heard a peep out of her for the rest of the day. Aunt Belle just toted her around like she was one of her own.
