Death
Obituary of Elen J. BryanElen J. Bryan, 81, of 507 S. 11th St., died Monday at Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bryan came here in 1911 from Louisburg, Kans. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the WSCS of the church, and was a member of the Daughters of Wesley Sunday school class.
Also, she was a member of the OES, Ruth Chapter No. 7, the Rebekah Lodge, the NABA, the Cootie Club. and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Eula Carlton of Fort Pierce, Mrs. I. C. (Margaret) Smith of Miami Springs; a son, John D. Bryan of West Palm Beach; two brothers, J. B. McCarter of Crestline, O., and J. W. McCarter of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. C. J. Windisch of Louisburg, Kans., Mrs. R. L. Hund of Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Mamie McCarter of Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Baird Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Gisler of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
