Obituary of Margaret Bryan Smith

SMITH, Margaret Bryan, 98, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. She was born in Louisburg, Kan., and resided in Sebring, Fla., since 1969.

She is survived by her brother, John D. Bryan of Lawrenceville, Ga.; her daughter-in-law, Cathleen Smith of Cape Coral, Fla.; and two grandsons, Clinton Smith of Austin, Texas, and Curtis Smith of Fort Myers, Fla. She will be missed by other family members and many close friends, including members of First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Smith; son, Charles Smith; and sister, Eula Carlton.

Margaret maintained an active life with interest in sewing, crafts, puzzles, photography, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She was also a member of the Neighborhood Association of Red Beach Lake. Margaret will always be remembered for her positive outlook on life and devotion to the Lord, family and friends.

Visitation services for Margaret will take place 10-11 a.m. January 11, 2010, in the chapel at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3003 S. Memorial Drive, Avon Park, FL 33825, with Dr. Kevin Ahrens officiating.

Graveside services will follow beginning at 11 a.m. Arrangements are by Stephenson-Nelson
Funeral Home, Avon Park.
