By 1900, according to the Census, he was a tailor and they and their children were renting a house at 5954 Wentworth Avenue in Chicago. He had immigrated in 1875 and was naturalized. She had immigrated in 1885. My grandmother Bessie Smith Isaacson was also staying there while my grandfather was up in Michigan because Bessie Smith was pregnant with my father, Albert Isaacson.
