Philip Lomnes, 68, Dies on Sunday
Philip Lomnes, 68, of Riverside Drive, Hudson, died Sunday, April 7, after an extended illness.
Mr. Lomnes was born in Hudson, June 20, 1899, the son of Andrew and Mary (Peterson) Lomnes. He attended the Hudson schools.
He was married to Mildred Smith Oct. 1, 1928 in St. Paul. He was employed as a carman in the Northwestern Railroad shops. He was also a cabinet maker and boat maker.
Besides his wife, Mildred, he is survived by one son, Jerome, Hudson, and one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Dahl (June), PhD, Madison, and six grandchildren, and one sister, Zelma Lomnes, Hudson.
Funeral services were Wednesdy, April 10 at the Swanson Funeral Home with Rev. G. Vn Putten officiating. Mrs. Harold Walbrandt played the organ music. Interment was in Willow River cemetery.
Pallbearers were Edward Christoph, Edward Swanson, John Ross, Roger Williams, Eldon Solsvig and Millrd Thorson.
