Mrs. Andrew Lomnes died at her home in Hudson after a brief illiness, early last Thursday morning, December 10, 1936, in her 72nd year. Funeral services directted by the Jasper Funeral Home were held from the home on Saturday afternoon, in charge of Rev. J. McR Lilley, assisted by Rev. J. H. T. Lee. Pall bearers were four sons.
Mary (Marit) Peterson was born June 21, 1865 in Norway. She left that country in 1883, coming directly to Hudson, accompanied by a brother and a sister, both of whom are dead. She married Andrew Lomnes in Hudson in 1886. He died in October 1911. Mrs. Lomnes had been a resident of Hudson for more than 53 years.
She is survived by three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Marie Hanson of Billings, Montana; Mrs. Martha Neher of Muncie, Indiania; Miss Zelma Lomnes of Hudson; Elmer Lomnes of Bayport, Minnesota; Philip Lomnes, Alex Lomnes and Carl Lomnes all of Hudson. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
