Death

Buena Vista Mrs. Augusta Furr Key, 86, widow of W. N. Key well known business man and former Buena Vista mayor, died in a Roanoke hospital early Sunday morning. A native of Augusta County she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Wine Furr. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and was active in the Woman’s work of the Buena Vista Baptist Church and for many years was teacher of the Woman's Bible Class. She is survived by three sons J. Frank Key, Buena Vista; Edward Key, Lynchburg; Hugh N. Key, Smithfield; a daughter, Mrs. J. T. Dickinson Jr., Buena Vista; two brothers, C. C. Furr, Broad Run; E. E. Furr, Charles Town. W. Va. a sister, Mrs. Dwight Myers, Staunton; six grandchildren and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Buena Vista Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. W. B. Denson of the Melrose Baptist Church, Roanoke, assisted by the Rev. A J. Hawes, pastor of tile Buena Vista Church. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery.
