Death
Mr. Lester Abel Furr, 75, of 2557 Eastway Dr. died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of a respiratory ailment. Funeral is 12:30 p.m. Monday at McEwen Funeral Home, West Chapel. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Mr. Furr was a painting contractor. He was a Mecklenburg County native. Survivors are wife, Ardenia; sons, Lester Furr Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, Tim Furr, Rick Furr, Steve Furr, Arthur Furr, Ronnie Furr, Mike Furr, Donnie Furr; daughters, Mrs. Judy Mills of Loris, S.C., Mrs. Janet King, Mrs. Peggy McGee, Mrs. Diane Foy; 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m, today at McEwen, West Chapel.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 28, 1985
