Peggy Sue Furr McGee 81 of Collettsville passed away Monday August 31,2020 at Elmcroft of Newton. Born October 14,1938. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Ardenia Benton Furr. Peggy is survived Her husband Roy McGee of 64 years ; A son Allen McGee; daughter Donna Spivey (Ed); Grand daughters Lauren Zagurski ( Michael) and Samantha Lister (Dakota) Grand Son Joe Spivey ; Great grand daughters Blythe Zagurski, and Blakely Lister; And Great granson Rhys Zagurski. Peggy spent Her life taking care of her home. She enjoyed flower gardening,and spending time with family especially her grand children. Peggy was a member of Muvale Baptist Church of Collettsville. In addition to her parents, a son Roy (Macky) McGee Jr . preceded her in death. A Graveside Service will be held 2pm Tuesday September 8,2020 at Trinity UMC of Charlotte 6230 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216. Rev. Brian Smith of Mullvale Baptist church will be officiating. Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the graveside service at the church. The McGee family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Newton 828-464-1555.
