Death
Funeral services for Roy Allen Furr of 916 Academy street, who died yesterday morning at his home, will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Hovis chapel. Rev. B. Frank Yandell of North Charlotte Presbyterian church will officiate, and interment will be in Sharon Memorial park. Born December 8, 1904, in Mecklenburg county, Mr. Furr was the son of the late Henry and Rose Perry Furr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Pope Furr; four daughters, Mrs. W. H. Graham, Mrs. Rose Howard, Miss Joyce Furr, and Miss Barbara Furr; three brothers L. R. Furr, L. A. Furr, and J. H. Furr; and one sister, Mrs. Etta Thompson; one grandson, William Henry Graham; and several nieces and nephews, all of Charlotte.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, May 1, 1946
