Death
Mrs. Barbara Furr Cook. age 66, of Charlotte died Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at the Hospice House in Monroe. She was born February 1, 1933 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Roy Allen Furr and Katherine Pope Furr. She attended Tech High School was a member of Harbor Baptist Church and retired from Highland Mills. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday December 3, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with Rev. Vickie Tuggle officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Raymer Funeral Home, Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Cook is survived by three sons, Tony Cook of Cornelius, Dean and Scott Cook of Charlotte; daughter Paula M. Mangum of Creedmoore; sisters, Mrs. Rose Civil of Charlotte and Mrs. Mildred Graham of Calabash; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Ray Moody. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union Co., 7800 W. Roosevelt Blvd Monroe, NC 28110.
