Death
Samuel L. Furr, 85-years-old early day Oklahoma City carpenter of 547 SW 34, died Friday night at Mercy hospital. Services will be announced by the Guardian funeral home. Furr, a native Oxford, Miss., came to Oklahoma City in 1912. He had been a carpenter until retirement 20 years ago. Survivors include his wife Henryetta of the home; a son, Henry Edgar, of Cookson, and Orlan, Pine Ridge, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Jones, San Antonio, and Mrs. Myrtle Manzanares, Brownsville, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.The Daily Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, May 3, 1959
