Death

The funeral service for Albert W. Furr, 84, resident of the Stuart area for the past 25 years who died last week at his home after a long illness, was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Arpelar Nazarene church. Freddie Ritchie, pastor, officiated and burial was in the Arpelar cemetery under the direction of the Humphrey Funeral home. He was born October 5, 1867, in North Carolina, and was a member of the Church of God. Furr was a retired carpenter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Conover, Stuart; and Mrs. Hazel Mullenax, Farmington, Mo.; a son, Frank Furr, Ferriday, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Roby, Calvin; Mrs. Josephine Miller, and Mrs. Clara Freeman, both of Tahoka, Tex.; a brother, Fate Furr, Oklahoma City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
