Death
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gerty Methodist Church for Mrs. Emma Bell Roby, 72, who died early this morning at her home at Gerty. Roma Stewart will officiate, assisted by Newel Spears. Burial will be in Non cemetery, under direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Mrs. Roby was born Jan. 6, 1889, in Polk County, Ark. She came to this area from Childress, Tex., 30 years ago. She is survived by her husband, E. Roby, of the home; one son, J. G. Roby, Calvin; one daughter, Jewell Brown, Burbank, Calif.; one sister, Clara Freeman, Ft. Worth, Tex.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bearers will be Lloyd Mauldin, Fred Brown, Gilbert Priest, Manuel Priest, Orlan Lawrence and Etheridge Williams.Holdenville Daily News, Holdenville, Oklahoma, January 6, 1961
