Death
DENVER CITY (Staff) — Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Irene Ford Freeman, 88, are slated for 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Tahoka Church of Christ, with interment at the Tahoka cemetery under the direction of the Singleton Funeral Home, Denver City. Mrs. Freeman died at 2:20 a.m. Friday in the Yoakum County Hospital at Denver City, where she had been hospitalized since Aug, 26. She was born Feb. 26, 1879, in Polk County, Ark., and previously had been a patient in the Plains Convalescent Center at Plains. For the past five years, she had lived with daughters in Lovington, N. M., and Baytown. Mrs. Freeman formerly had been a longtime resident of Tahoka, where her late husband, Ross Ford, operated the cemetery until his death in 1941. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lou Reagan of Lovington; Mrs. S. L. Moore, Fort Worth; and Mrs. O. N. Roberts, Baytown; two sons, Charlie Ford, Fort Worth; and Cecil Ford, San Jose, Calif; 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.The Odessa American, Odessa, Texas, September 23, 1967
