Individual Details

Lewis Whitson FURR

(25 Oct 1890 - 9 Jan 1968)

In Union county last winter Louis Furr, 16 year old, had a “fly gun,” made of cane, with which he fired a broomstraw at Carl Price, 10 years old. The straw struck Price in the eye and destroyed the sight. Furr was prosecuted, it being claimed that the act was done with careless disregard of results. The defence urged that the boys were in play and that Furr had no thought of harming Price. Furr was bound to court in a small bond.
