Indian Trail: Banks MEADOWS, colored, was celebrating his thirty-sixth birthday on old Christmas when he received the news of the death of his father, Bobbie MEDDOWS (sic)…. Bobbie, it is estimated, was seventy-two years old. He was well liked by both races. Miss Ola HELMS and Mr. Jay HELMS, both of Goose Creek township, were married Sunday afternoon at the home of the officiating magistrate, Esq. H. M. FURR. Misses Rena, Hazel and Myrtle FURR and Bright SIMPSON are confined to their homes with measles.

Death
MONROE, Feb. 19 — Henry M. Furr, 70, of Goose Creek township, died this morning at 11 o'clock in a Charlotte hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at Union Grove church with interment to be in Manuel's cemetery. The rites will be conducted by Rev. E. W. Mills. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Hunter Furr; three daughters, Mrs. Verne Hartzell of Monroe, Mrs. Julia Freeman of Charlotte and Mrs. Selma Sams of Atlanta, Ga.; five sons, F. L. of Union county, Sloan of Atlanta, Lewis of Charlotte, Bruce and Herman of Sunberry, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. J. H.
