Gloria Frances Cook, 81, Fayetteville, died May 9, 2004. She was born July 24, 1922 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilton Cook Sr. Survivors include sons, Tom Cook, Fayetteville, and Charles W. Cook Jr., Birmingham; a daughter,, Melanie Lackey, Atlanta; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, John Furr, Charlotte, N. C.; and sisters, Dorothy McGraw, Charlotte, N. C., and Betty Sue Williams, Siler City, N. C. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1925 Century Blvd., NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30348. Carl J.
