Death
Mr. Ransom Hunter Furr, 73, of 400 Short St., Matthews, died June 11, 1994, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Matthews Church of God, Matthews. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at McEwen Funeral Home, Mint Hill chapel. Mr. Furr, a Charlotte native, was a Terminix employee and retired in 1967 from the Navy after 25 years. Survivors are his sons, Mike Furr of Greenville, S.C., Arnold Furr of Malibu Beach, Calif.; brother, John Furr; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy McGraw of Mint Hill, Mrs. Gloria Cook of Atlanta, Mrs. Betty Sue Williams of Siler City; stepson, Butch Salsedo of Monroe; stepdaughters, Mrs. Rebecca Woodruff, Mrs. Teddie Rollins, both of Matthews, Mrs. Jerrie Brown of Fayetteville, Mrs. Trudy Sperling, Mrs. Janis Query; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
