Death
Earl Jefferson ‘Bubba’ Furr, 48, of 108 Grovemore Pl., Matthews, died yesterday. He was employed by Carolina Delivery Service. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McEwen Funeral Home Derita Chapel, with the Rev. Leland K. Stephens, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Born Dec. 20, 1926, in Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late Earl Bowman and Ruth LeKence Furr. Surviving are his wife, Arelene Metzger Furr; two daughters, Miss Frances Furr and Miss Patricia Furr of Charlotte: one stepdaughter Miss Pamela McCuller of the home: two stepsons, Steve McCuller and Bryan MecCuller of the home: four sisters, Mrs. Margaret F. Foster of Concord, Mrs. Gereldine F. Brown and Mrs. Martha Ann Fowler of Harrisburg and Mrs. Mary Ellen Penninger of Charlotte, and two brothers, Robert Larry Furr of Columbia, S.C., and E. B.
