Death
HARRISBURG - Margaret Furr Foster, 73, Harrisburg, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Presbyterian Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McEwen Charlotte Chapel with the Rev. Leland K. Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Born Jan. 5, 1931, in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Earl Bowman and Ruth Moss Furr. She attended Grace Baptist Church, was a graduate of Central High School, served as clerk for the federal government for 33 years in the clerical department and later worked 17 years part time at Central Piedmont Community College. She was an avid bowler and was an Avon representative. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bentley Foster, and brothers, Robert Larry Furr, Earl Jefferson Furr and Earl Bowman Furr. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia L. Severt and husband, Bobby, Concord; stepchildren, Bentley Foster and wife, Iris, Reneé Harrison and husband, Wolfgang, Wayne Foster and wife, Wendy, and Preston Foster and wife, Dana, all of Texas; sisters, Jerry Brown, Concord, Pete Penninger, Charlotte, and Mott Fowler and husband, Ken, Concord; grandchildren, John Ennis and wife, Jennifer, Lacey Ennis, Cory Foster, Erin Foster, Fallon Foster, Olivia Foster, Faith Foster, Sidney Foster, Stephanie Foster, Shay Severt and Allison Severt; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Noelle Ennis and Hollyn Foster.
