Death
Funeral services for Earl B. Furr, age 64, of 3616 Midfield Dr., will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 1969 at McEwen West Chapel, the Rev. Paul L. Sherrill, minister of First ARP Church and the Rev. Paul A. Bruton, minister of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church will officiate with interment in Oaklawn Cemetery. Born July 5, 1904 in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Bowman and Willie Hargett Furr. He was a member of Chalmers ARP Church. His wife, Mrs. Ruth Moss Furr preceded him in death January 28. 1969. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J. C. Brown, Mrs. H. M. Penninger, Mrs. Kenneth Fowler and Mrs. J. R. Litton all of Charlotte: three sons, R. L. Furr of Columbia, S. C., E. B. Furr Jr. of Reidsville, E. J. Furr of Charlotte and twenty-four grandchildren. The family will be at the home of a daughter. Mrs. J. C. Brown, 912 Bannister Place (Hidden Valley), and will receive friends from 7 to 9 Sunday evening at the Funeral Home.The Charlotte Observer Charlotte, North Carolina, February 02, 1969
