Notes
Death
Mrs. Bertia Pinkney (Furr) Holloman, 78, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Holloman was born on May 31, 1937 in Stanley County to the late John and Edna Furr. For many years she worked in the furniture industry and retired from Swaim Inc. Mrs. Holloman was a faithful member of Green Street Baptist Church where she regularly volunteered until she was no longer able to. She was a natural hard worker and caretaker, and always made sure those closest to her were well looked after. She loved spending time in her garden or painting when she could, but most of all she loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughters. Mrs. Holloman is survived by her daughter, Betty Lewallen and her husband, Terry of Asheboro; two granddaughters, Tamara and Terra Lewallen both of Asheboro; a sister, Anna Hurlocker of Greensboro; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Endnotes
