Death
KANNAPOLIS -- Ruby Lottie Furr Drye, 73, died Friday, March 7, 2003 at University Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Mrs. Drye was born June 14, 1929 in Stanly County, NC to the late John Pickney Furr and Lou Etta Mae Brittion Furr. She was retired from Cannon Mills Co. Plant 1 #6 and #7 Weave Rooms. Funeral service is Sunday, March 9th at 4:00PM at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis with Rev. Jeff Rushing officiating. Interment at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation is Saturday from 6:30-8:30PM at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. She is survived by her husband, Arthur James Drye, 3 sons, James Drye of Kannapolis, Alvin Drye of Concord and Larry Drye of Mt. Pleasant; 4 daughters, Connie Goodman of Kannapolis, Zelly James of Concord, Cindy Drye of Concord and Holley Drye of Concord; 3 brothers, Robert Furr of Stanfield, Perry Furr of Kannapolis and Fred Furr of Concord; 4 sisters, Liddie Russ of Concord, Bessie O'Brien of High Point, Bertie Holloman of High Point, Annie Herlocker of Greensboro, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
